Hillsborough County Jail Inmate Search

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) Department of Detention Services operates two major jails in Tampa and a work-release center. Orient Road Jail processes more than 72,000 bookings per year from 27 different law enforcement agencies, making it one of the busiest intake facilities in Florida. Falkenburg Road Jail, at 3,300 beds, is one of the largest direct-supervision jails in the United States.

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, Department of Detention

Unlike Miami-Dade and Orange County, where detention is run by a separate county department, Hillsborough County follows the standard Florida structure: the Sheriff's Office directly operates the jail system through its Department of Detention Services. The Tampa Police Department and about 26 other agencies turn all arrestees over to HCSO for processing and custody.
